VA/DoD Clinical Practice Guideline Update: Assessment and Management of Patients at Risk for Suicide (2024)

Cover for the Clinical Practice Guideline Assessment and Management of Patients at Risk for Suicide

Clinical Practice Guideline Assessment and Management of Patients at Risk for Suicide (2024)
Newly Updated Evidence Based Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) and Associated Tools are now available. The VA and Department of Defense (DoD) have collaboratively developed evidence-based clinical practice guidelines since the 1990s. The CPGs provide information that is evidence-based and unbiased by conflict of interest. They are based on the best available evidence at the date of publication, and are intended to provide a general guide to best practices. These guidelines can assist health care providers, but the use of a CPG must always be considered as a recommendation, within the context of a provider’s clinical judgment, for the care of an individual patient.

National Veterans Financial Resource Center Website Launches

National Veterans Financial Resource Center

Financial uncertainty can increase the risk of suicide among Veterans. That's why we're launching FINVET: a new website that promotes mental health by helping Veterans learn about and manage their finances. This is a one-stop website for Veterans to access trustworthy financial tools. Get help meeting essential needs, saving or earning more money, lowering bills and debt, and protecting assets. Learn more at the National Veterans Financial Resource Center website.
