Donald Trump picks up slew of Missouri Republican endorsements
Up and down the ballot, Missouri Republicans are rallying behind presidential candidate Donald Trump, according to a Trump news release.
The release includes endorsements for Trump from U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, U.S. Rep. Billy Long and other Republicans in Congress.
It also boasts support from candidates running for statewide office, including gubernatorial nominee Eric Greitens, lietunant governor nominee and state Sen. Mike Parson, attorney general candidate Josh Hawley, secretary of state candidate Jay Ashcroft and state Sen. Eric Schmitt, who is running for treasurer.
Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, U.S. Rep. Jason Smith and Long were named co-chairs of Trump's Missouri campaign, according to the release.
Long, Greitens and Parson were among the speakers when Gov. Mike Pence, an Indiana Republican and Trump's running mate, held a campaign event in Springfield in early September.
