Back from a three-year performance hiatus, Laura Mvula will be performing on Wednesday, February 24th with a unique and breathtaking set, drawing on new material and featuring some special surprises along the way. Laura Mvula is a soulful, British vocalist known for her inventive mix of R&B, jazz, classical and pop genres. The thirty-three-year-old artist stated her influences include artists such as Nina Simone, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill and Jill Scott.

When it comes to her performance history, Laura Mvula has over 180 events registered in her Songkick gig history. This goes back to September 2012, when she performed at the iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse in London.

Laura Mvula’s album ‘The Dreaming Room’ secured her the highly esteemed Ivor Novello album award in 2017. The award recognises exceptional songwriting and consistency across an album as a whole. Other nominees in that category included Michael Kiwanuka’s ‘Love & Hate’ album, and ‘Skeleton Tree’, by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Invited to perform at The Queen’s Birthday Party hosted by BBC One, Laura Muvla performed ‘I Put A Spell on You’ at the Royal Albert Hall in London, April 2018. The event celebrated Her Majesty’s the Queen 92nd birthday with songs from across the decades of the Queen’s reign.
