Sinlge value constraint[edit]

I can not see the usefulness of this constraint. The rulers of a country change, the political system changes and so do currencies. It is not unlikely to have several currencies over the time. So this constraint is useless and does not prevent inappropriate uses but is bothersome in most reported cases.--Giftzwerg 88 (talk) 20:00, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Normally, articles are separated when political system changes.
In fact, there may be a separate article about each monetary reform (Q65224). d1g (talk) 07:23, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Extend domain to subclasses of coin (Q41207) and banknote (Q47433)?[edit]

Mexican coin can be located in USA, but this is not true that it represents USD. d1g (talk) 07:12, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure about meaning of your example, but extending domain to coin and banknote items seems reasonable to me. Jklamo (talk) 16:26, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not "domain", but range of values.
@Jklamo: my intend was about values of P38, not items.
Some old banknotes are not recognized as currency.
Some old banknotes are recognized during transition.
Some old banknotes are recognized for a long time. d1g (talk) 08:29, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Extend domain to subclasses of stock exchange (Q11691)[edit]

Considering extending domain to subclasses of stock exchange (Q11691) (or even exchange (Q179076)). Any thoughts? --Jklamo (talk) 17:08, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

required ISO code for ancient coinage?[edit]

Where can one find the ISO for an ancient coinage that seems to be required for currency (P38), see Xin dynasty (Q504769), an ancient state (est. 9-23 AD). Please advise. Thank you. jshieh (talk) 14:27, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
