Faiz D Much like The Social Network, 'Steve Jobs' is a perfect film. Aaron Sorkin has outdone himself with an incredibly compelling character study. In my taste, the film could have benefited from brief flashbacks to Steve Jobs’ early years, providing a clearer glimpse into Apple’s gradual establishment. Grading: B Rated 3.5/5 Stars •  Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/25 Full Review Kevin P A very tense and focused insightful character study of Steve Jobs and his desire for technological perfection coming at odds with his personal relationships through a clever setup with 3 major press tours of his career. Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, and Seth Rogen all knock it out of the park. The movie does a great job tearing down Steve Job’s inhumane ruthless qualities in a more grounded format of showing instead of telling. Whether it’s with Steve Wozniak, his former boss, or even his own daughter. I admit it would’ve been nice to see the ex-girlfriend one last time, though her daughter’s final words on her was nice. The movie arguably somewhat pulls its punches near the end with its conclusive view of Steve Jobs, but to be fair he still ended things poorly with Woz, Andy, and his wife. Plus he arguably got slightly softer with age. I appreciated the consistency of Kate Winslet’s character not taking any of Steve Job’s sh*t and being a mouthpiece for the movie’s central mission statements about control and how we prioritize what’s important to us. The soundtrack is wonderfully in-tune with the movie’s content without overshadowing it either. It’s a bit of a rough watch, but it’s emotionally potent and easily one of the best biopics out there for its precise focus on the most interesting aspects of one of the most pivotal technological pioneers in American history.
