There's an abundance of long-form content online and often it's a bit too long. A feature that intelligently creates a summary that enables the reader to get the gist of it will certainly end up saving them a lot of time. This is precisely what Galaxy AI's Browsing Assist feature does, and it does that very well.
Browsing Assist is a set of Galaxy AI features that are built right into the Samsung Internet web browser. They enable users to create intelligent summaries of the webpage using AI, translate those summaries, and even translate the entire webpage. Much like Note Assist, users have the option to choose from concise or detailed summaries.
What's cool to note is that when Browsing Assist translates the full webpage, it doesn't just translate the text portions, it translates everything from the webpage menus to the ads and even text embedded in videos. It doesn't overlay the translations, rather, the text is simply replaced with the translated version so the finished version looks extremely polished as well. Language packs must be downloaded for the translations to work as it's done entirely on-device.
Browsing Assist is built into the Samsung Internet web browser so the feature remains easily accessible. Simply tap on the Galaxy AI button on the bottom tool bar and select the Summarize or Translate option as needed. Tap on the Settings icon in the top right corner of the generated summary to switch between standard and detailed summaries. If you select the Translate option, remember to first download the desired language pack through the Add languages option in the dropdown menu.
Browsing Assist is available on all Samsung devices that support Galaxy AI. However, this feature is only accessible through the Samsung Internet browser. It won't be available in any third-party web browser like Google Chrome or Firefox.
