Renault’s latest offering, the Kwid, has got off to a flying start in the Indian market. Customer deliveries of the Kwid will begin next week through all the authorized Renault outlets across the country, the company said.

The Renault Kwid was launched on September 24, 2015, at an irresistible price tag starting from Rs 2.57 lakh and going up to Rs 3.53 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom Delhi). Amongst its bare basic rivals, the Renault Kwid came across as a breath of fresh air since it looks much more upmarket and premium at that price-point. Its crossover-inspired aesthetics and decently equipped interior make it even more appealing to the masses; something that we are witnessing now with these advance booking numbers.

As per Renault, in addition to buyers from metro cities, the Kwid has got tremendous response from Tier II and Tier III cities as well. The increased interest from small cities/towns can be attributed to the fact that Renault is claiming low costs of ownership of the car, thanks to 98 per cent parts localization. Renault is also offering 50,000 Km/ 2 years maintenance warranty which can further be extended to 80,000 Km/ 4 years along with 2 years of road side assistance policy.

The Kwid also features some of the segment first features like digital instrument cluster, one touch lane changer and touch-screen multimedia system with in-built navigation system; all of which give it an edge over its rivals.
