Biography

Salvatore Todisco was an Italian light-flyweight boxer who won a bronze medal at the 1983 Casablanca Mediterranean Games and repeated that finish at the 1987 Mediterranean Games.

At the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, Todisco qualified for the final but was unable to match up there against American Paul Gonzales, Jr., due to a broken hand. He retired after the 1987 season and never turned professional.

While later assisting Franco Falcinelli, the technical coach of the Italian amateur boxing team, Todisco lost his life in a car accident at the age of 29, when he was returning from Napoli.
