     Katherine Neville was the daughter of John Neville, 4th Lord Latymer and Lady Lucy Somerset.¹ She married, firstly, Henry Percy, 2nd Earl of Northumberland, son of Sir Thomas Percy and Eleanor Harbottle, before 25 January 1561/62.¹ She married, secondly, Francis Fitton in 1588.¹ She died on 28 October 1596.² She was buried at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England^G.
     From before 25 January 1561/62, her married name became Percy. After her marriage, Katherine Neville was styled as Countess of Northumberland on 22 August 1572. From 1588, her married name became Fitton.

     Sir John Johnstone of that Ilk was born before 8 November 1438.¹ He was the son of Sir Adam Johnstone of that Ilk and unknown wife (?)^1,2 He died after February 1492/93.¹
     He held the office of Warden of the West Marches in 1459.¹

     Lady Dorothy Devereux was born in 1561. She was the daughter of Walter Devereux, 1st Earl of Essex and Lettice Knollys.^3,1 She married, firstly, Sir Thomas Perrot, son of Sir John Perrot, in July 1583 at Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, England^G.⁴ She married, secondly, Henry Percy, 3rd Earl of Northumberland, son of Henry Percy, 2nd Earl of Northumberland and Katherine Neville, in 1594.³ She died on 3 August 1619.⁵
     From July 1583, her married name became Perrot. From 1594, her married name became Percy. After her marriage, Lady Dorothy Devereux was styled as Countess of Northumberland in 1594.

     Algernon Percy, 4th Earl of Northumberland was born on 13 October 1602.¹ He was the son of Henry Percy, 3rd Earl of Northumberland and Lady Dorothy Devereux.¹ He married, firstly, Lady Anne Cecil, daughter of William Cecil, 2nd Earl of Salisbury and Lady Catherine Howard, before 1630.³ He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Howard, daughter of Theophilus Howard, 2nd Earl of Suffolk and Lady Elizabeth Home, on 1 October 1642.¹ He died on 13 October 1668 at age 66.¹

     Lady Anne Cecil was baptised on 23 February 1612.³ She was the daughter of William Cecil, 2nd Earl of Salisbury and Lady Catherine Howard.^1,4 She married Algernon Percy, 4th Earl of Northumberland, son of Henry Percy, 3rd Earl of Northumberland and Lady Dorothy Devereux, before 1630.⁴ She died on 6 December 1637 at age 25.³
     Her married name became Percy. After her marriage, Lady Anne Cecil was styled as Countess of Northumberland on 5 November 1632.

     Lady Elizabeth Howard was the daughter of Theophilus Howard, 2nd Earl of Suffolk and Lady Elizabeth Home.^1,3 She married Algernon Percy, 4th Earl of Northumberland, son of Henry Percy, 3rd Earl of Northumberland and Lady Dorothy Devereux, on 1 October 1642.¹ She died on 11 March 1704/5.¹
     After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Howard was styled as Countess of Northumberland on 1 October 1642. From 1 October 1642, her married name became Percy.

     Joceline Percy, 5th Earl of Northumberland was born on 4 July 1644.¹ He was the son of Algernon Percy, 4th Earl of Northumberland and Lady Elizabeth Howard.¹ He married Lady Elizabeth Wriothesley, daughter of Thomas Wriothesley, 4th Earl of Southampton and Lady Elizabeth Leigh, on 23 December 1662.¹ He died on 21 May 1670 at age 25.¹
     He held the office of Joint Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland in 1660.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Sussex in 1668.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Northumberland [E., 1557] on 13 October 1668.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron Percy [E., 1557] on 13 October 1668.¹
     On his death, the Earldom of Northumberland became extinct.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Wriothesley was born in 1646.³ She was the daughter of Thomas Wriothesley, 4th Earl of Southampton and Lady Elizabeth Leigh.⁴ She married, firstly, Joceline Percy, 5th Earl of Northumberland, son of Algernon Percy, 4th Earl of Northumberland and Lady Elizabeth Howard, on 23 December 1662.⁴ She married, secondly, Ralph Montagu, 1st Duke of Montagu, son of Edward Montagu, 2nd Baron Montagu of Boughton and Anne Winwood, on 24 August 1673.¹ She died on 19 September 1690.⁴
     Her married name became Percy. After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Wriothesley was styled as Countess of Northumberland on 13 October 1668. From 24 August 1673, her married name became Montagu. After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Wriothesley was styled as Countess of Montagu on 9 April 1689.

     Thomas Wriothesley, 4th Earl of Southampton was born in 1607.³ He was the son of Henry Wriothesley, 3rd Earl of Southampton and Elizabeth Vernon. He married, firstly, Rachel de Massue, daughter of Daniel de Massue, Seigneur de Ruvigny, on 18 August 1634. He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Leigh, daughter of Francis Leigh, 1st Earl of Chichester and Hon. Audrey Boteler, circa 24 April 1642.⁴ He married, thirdly, Lady Frances Seymour, daughter of William Seymour, 2nd Duke of Somerset and Lady Frances Devereux, on 7 May 1659.⁵ He died on 16 May 1667, without surviving male issue.⁴
     He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Southampton [E., 1547] on 10 November 1624. He succeeded as the 4th Baron Wriothesley [E., 1544] on 10 November 1624. He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Chichester, co. Sussex [E., 1644] on 21 December 1653.⁴ He held the office of Lord High Treasurer [England] in 1665.

     Lady Elizabeth Percy was born on 26 January 1666/67.⁴ She was the daughter of Joceline Percy, 5th Earl of Northumberland and Lady Elizabeth Wriothesley.^1,5 She married, firstly, Henry Percy, Earl of Ogle, son of Henry Cavendish, 2nd Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Frances Pierrepont, on 27 March 1679.⁵ She married, secondly, Thomas Thynne, son of Sir Thomas Thynne and Stuarta Balquanquill, on 15 November 1681 in a clandestine marriage.¹ She married, thirdly, Charles Seymour, 6th Duke of Somerset, son of Charles Seymour, 2nd Baron Seymour of Trowbridge and Hon. Elizabeth Alington, on 20 May 1682.⁴ She died on 23 November 1722 at age 55.⁴
     From 15 November 1681, her married name became Thynne. After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Percy was styled as Duchess of Somerset on 20 May 1682. From 30 May 1682, her married name became Seymour. She held the office of Mistress of the Robes and Groom of the Stole to Queen Anne in 1711.⁵ She has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.⁶
