     Major Raymond Windham de la Poer Beresford-Peirse was born on 4 July 1896.1 He was the son of Reverend Windham de la Poer Beresford-Peirse and Ethel Milman Proctor Baker.1 He married, firstly, Aileen Phyllis Thomlinson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir William Thomlinson, on 3 July 1923.1 He married, secondly, Suzanne Ashley Fleming, daughter of Lt.-Col. Samuel Fleming, on 28 February 1945.1 He died on 1 March 1971 at age 74.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Life Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the R.A.O.C.1

     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1
