     Michael Birkett, 2nd Baron Birkett was born on 22 October 1929.¹ He was the son of William Norman Birkett, 1st Baron Birkett and Ruth Nilsson.¹ He married, firstly, Junia Elliott on 13 October 1960.¹ He married, secondly, Gloria Taylor, daughter of Thomas Taylor, in 1978.¹ He died on 3 April 2015 at age 85.²

     Her married name became Crawford.¹ From 13 October 1960, her married name became Birkett.¹ After her marriage, Junia Elliott was styled as Baroness Birkett on 10 February 1962.
