     Josiah Chester Adams was born on 19 June 1830 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 He was the son of George Adams and Polly Young.1 He married Diana McCoy, daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian, on 19 September 1858 at Norfolk IslandG.1 He died on 2 February 1907 at age 76 at Norfolk IslandG.1

     From 1 April 1827, her married name became Adams.2

     Sir George Warrender of Lochend, 1st Bt. was born circa 1658.1 He was the son of George Warrender and Margaret Cunninghame.1 He married, secondly, Grizel Blair, daughter of Hugh Blair.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Lawrie before 1680.1 He died on 4 March 1721/22 at London, EnglandG.1 He was buried at Bunhill Fields, London, EnglandG.1
     He was a merchant, and dealer in foreign trade at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He held the office of Lord Provost of Edinburgh in 1707.1 He held the office of Lord Provost of Edinburgh in 1714.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Edinburgh between 1715 and 1722.1 He was created 1st Baronet Warrender, of Lochend, co. Haddington [Great Britain] on 2 June 1715.1

     Sir John Warrender of Lochend, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1686.1 He was the son of Sir George Warrender of Lochend, 1st Bt. and Margaret Lawrie.1 He married Henrietta Johnston, daughter of Sir Patrick Johnston, in 1720.1 He died on 18 January 1772.1
     In 1715 he supported the Government during the Uprising, and received estates as a result.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Warrender, of Lochend, co. Haddington [G.B., 1715] on 4 March 1721/22.1
     He had four other daughters.2
