Sir Richard Cecil was born in 1570.1 He was the son of Thomas Cecil, 1st Earl of Exeter and Dorothy Neville.1 He married Elizabeth Cope, daughter of Sir Anthony Cope, 1st Bt. and Frances Lytton, on 23 March 1603.1,2 He died on 4 September 1633.2

Lady Lucy Cecil was the daughter of Thomas Cecil, 1st Earl of Exeter and Dorothy Neville.1 She married William Paulet, 4th Marquess of Winchester, son of William Paulet, 3rd Marquess of Winchester and Hon. Agnes Howard, on 28 February 1586/87.1 She died in October 1614.1
From 28 February 1586/87, her married name became Paulet.1 After her marriage, Lady Lucy Cecil was styled as Marchioness of Winchester on 24 November 1598.
