     Colonel James Hughes was the son of Reverend Edward Hughes.1 He married Frances Anna Jane Stanhope, daughter of Major Hon. Sir Francis Charles Stanhope and Hannah Wilson, on 16 March 1841.1 He died on 26 November 1845.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1

     Lady Evelyn Hely Hutchinson was born on 27 November 1877.1 She was the daughter of John Luke George Hely Hutchinson, 5th Earl of Donoughmore of Knocklofty and Frances Isabella Stephens.1 She married, firstly, Colonel Francis Douglas Farquhar, son of Sir Henry Thomas Farquhar, 4th Bt. and Hon. Alice Brand, on 27 April 1905.1 She married, secondly, Sir Dougal Orme Malcolm, son of William Rolle Malcolm and Georgina Wellesley, on 3 May 1923.1 She died on 18 September 1962 at age 84.1
     She was Lady-in-Waiting to HRH Princess Arthur of Connaught between 1902 and 1922.1 From 27 April 1905, her married name became Farquhar. From 3 May 1923, her married name became Malcolm.

     She was educated at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 Her married name became Patterson.
