     He fought in the Second World War.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to GOC-in-C 14th Army, Burma.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1

     Her married name became Holden.2 Her married name became Woodhall.2 From 7 December 1940, her married name became Bruce.1

     Major Edward Macaulay Bruce was born on 9 February 1908.1 He was the son of Robert Perry Bruce and Olive Maud Macaulay.1 He married Nancy Elinor Humfrey, daughter of Lt.-Col. F. G. C. Humfrey, in 1939.1 He died on 25 August 1986 at age 78 at Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.1,2
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Middlesex Regiment.1 He was a general manager for Unilever.1
