     Sir George Smith Clark, 1st Bt. was born on 8 November 1860.1 He was the son of James Clark and Jane Smith.2 He married Frances Elizabeth Matier, daughter of Henry Matier, on 28 September 1881.1 He died on 23 March 1935 at age 74.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Belfast between 1907 and 1910.1 He was created 1st Baronet Clark, of Dunlambert, Belfast [U.K.] on 6 July 1917.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Senator [Northern Ireland] in 1925.1 He was a director of Henry Matier and Company, linen manufacturers of Belfast.1 He was a director of the Bank of Ireland.1 He was chairman of the Great Northern Railway Company (Ireland.)1

     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 9th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1919 entitled to practise as a barrister.1

     Norah Ann Wilson was the daughter of W. G. Wilson.2 She married Sir George Ernest Clark, 2nd Bt., son of Sir George Smith Clark, 1st Bt. and Frances Elizabeth Matier, on 20 July 1910.1 She died on 12 March 1966.1
     From 20 July 1910, her married name became Clark. She was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Belfast in 1938.1
