     Lieutenant Francis William Talbot Clerke was born on 6 March 1886.1 He was the son of Sir William Francis Clerke, 11th Bt. and Beatrice Menzies.2 He married Albinia Mary Evans-Lombe, daughter of Major Edward Henry Evans-Lombe and Albinia Harriet Leslie-Melville, on 4 October 1911.1 He died on 26 September 1916 at age 30, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.1

     Albinia Mary Evans-Lombe was born in 1887.2 She was the daughter of Major Edward Henry Evans-Lombe and Albinia Harriet Leslie-Melville.3,2 She married, firstly, Lieutenant Francis William Talbot Clerke, son of Sir William Francis Clerke, 11th Bt. and Beatrice Menzies, on 4 October 1911.1 She married, secondly, Anthony Henry Evelyn Ashley, son of Rt. Hon. Anthony Evelyn Melbourne Ashley and Lady Alice Elizabeth Cole, on 6 March 1920.1 She married, thirdly, Air Chief Marshal Sir Edgar Rainey Ludlow-Hewitt on 3 February 1923.1 She died on 16 April 1972.1
     From 4 October 1911, her married name became Clerke. From 6 March 1920, her married name became Ashley.1 From 3 February 1923, her married name became Ludlow-Hewitt.1

     Sir John Edward Longueville Clerke, 12th Bt. was born on 29 October 1913.2 He was the son of Lieutenant Francis William Talbot Clerke and Albinia Mary Evans-Lombe.2 He married Mary Beviss Bond, daughter of Lt.-Col. Ivor Reginald Beviss Bond, on 6 July 1948.2 He and Mary Beviss Bond were divorced in 1986.2 He died on 1 October 2009 at age 95.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Clerke, of Hitcham, co.
