Hon. John Melville Williams was born on 20 June 1931.1 He was the son of Edward Francis Williams, Baron Francis-Williams and Jessie Melville Hopkin.1 He married Jean Margaret Lucas, daughter of Harold Lucas, in 1955.1 He died on 7 October 2011 at age 80.2
He was educated at St. Christopher School, Letchworth, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1955 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1
