     He succeeded as the 4th Lord Cherleton [E., 1313] on 13 July 1374.² He succeeded as the Lord of Powis [feudal baron] on 13 July 1374.² He held the office of Justice of North Wales between 20 March 1387 and 1387.² His last will was dated 1395.²

     Joan Beaufort was born illegitimately circa 1402 at Westminster, London, England^G.^1,2 She was the daughter of Henry de Beaufort and Lady Alice FitzAlan.¹ She married Sir Edward Stradling, son of Sir William Stradling and Isobel St. Barbe.¹ She died circa 1453.²
     Her married name became Stradling.¹

     Henry Wriothesley, 2nd Earl of Southampton was baptised on 24 April 1545. He was the son of Thomas Wriothesley, 1st Earl of Southampton and Jane Cheney.^2,3 He married Hon. Mary Browne, daughter of Anthony Browne, 1st Viscount Montagu and Lady Jane Radcliffe, on 19 February 1565/66 at her father's house, London, England^G.⁴ He died on 4 October 1581 at age 36.
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Wriothesley [E., 1544] on 30 July 1550. He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Southampton [E., 1547] on 30 July 1550.¹

Alice Margaret Stanley, on 17 May 1884 at St. Peter's, Eaton Square, London, England^G.¹ He died on 28 May 1913 at age 79 at Kingsgate Castle, Kent, England^G, from heart failure.²
