     Susan Kirkpatrick Sharpe was the daughter of Charles Kirkpatrick Sharpe and Eleanora Renton.2 She married, firstly, Hon. James Floyer Erskine, son of John Francis Erskine, 24th/7th Earl of Mar and Frances Floyer, on 12 November 1796.2 She married, secondly, William Walker on 8 August 1800.2 She married, thirdly, Shirley Farmer Steele Perkins on 16 June 1806.2 She died on 8 February 1827.2
     Her married name became Erskine. From 8 August 1800, her married name became Walker.2 From 16 June 1806, her married name became Perkins.2

     Walter Coningsby Erskine, 12th Earl of Kellie was born on 12 July 1810.1 He was the son of Hon. Henry David Erskine and Mary Anne Cooksey.1 He married Elise Youngson, daughter of Colonel unknown Youngson, on 11 September 1834.1 He died on 15 January 1872 at age 61.1
     He was commissioned in 1826, in the service of the Bengal Army.1 He was Commissioner of Jubbulpore, at the time of the Indian Mutiny (he received the thanks of Parliament for his services).1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1860.1 He succeeded as the 12th Baron Erskine of Dirletowne [S., 1604] on 19 June 1866.1 He succeeded as the 10th Earl of Mar [S., 1565] on 19 June 1866, de jure.1 He succeeded as the 12th Earl of Kellie [S., 1619] on 19 June 1866.1 He succeeded as the 12th Viscount of Fentoun [S., 1619] on 19 June 1866.1 He succeeded as the 12th Viscount of Fentoun [S., 1606] on 19 June 1866.1 He succeeded as the 12th Lord Dirletoun [S., 1619] on 19 June 1866.1 In 1867 he claimed the Earldom of Mar but died before the claim allowed by the House of Lords.1 He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1869 and 1872.1

     Elise Youngson was the daughter of Colonel unknown Youngson.2 She married Walter Coningsby Erskine, 12th Earl of Kellie, son of Hon. Henry David Erskine and Mary Anne Cooksey, on 11 September 1834.1 She died on 14 July 1895.1
     From 11 September 1834, her married name became Erskine. After her marriage, Elise Youngson was styled as Countess of Kellie on 19 June 1866.

     Walter Henry Erskine, 13th Earl of Kellie was born on 17 December 1839.2 He was the son of Walter Coningsby Erskine, 12th Earl of Kellie and Elise Youngson.1,2 He married Mary Anne Forbes, daughter of William Forbes of Medwyn and Mary Anne Houblon, on 14 October 1863.2 He died on 16 September 1888 at age 48.2

     Mary Anne Forbes was the daughter of William Forbes of Medwyn and Mary Anne Houblon.1,2 She married Walter Henry Erskine, 13th Earl of Kellie, son of Walter Coningsby Erskine, 12th Earl of Kellie and Elise Youngson, on 14 October 1863.1 She died on 22 May 1927.1
     From 14 October 1863, her married name became Erskine. After her marriage, Mary Anne Forbes was styled as Countess of Mar on 15 January 1872.

     Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 8th Earl of Shaftesbury was born on 27 June 1831.1 He was the son of Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 7th Earl of Shaftesbury and Lady Emily Caroline Catherine Frances Cowper.2 He married Lady Harriet Augusta Anna Seymourina Chichester, daughter of Sir George Hamilton Chichester, 3rd Marquess of Donegall and Lady Harriet Anne Butler, on 22 August 1857.2 He died on 13 April 1886 at age 54 at Langham Place, London, England, by suicide, shooting himself in a cab, thinking he was ruined.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Crimean War in 1854.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
