     Reverend James Laurence Cotter was born on 14 August 1824.¹ He was the son of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Mary Purcell.² He married, firstly, Mary Gaggin, daughter of Reverend Richard Gaggin, on 19 October 1854.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Beatrice Bromilow, daughter of William Bromilow, on 3 September 1856.¹ He died in 1892.¹

     Mary Gaggin was the daughter of Reverend Richard Gaggin.² She married Reverend James Laurence Cotter, son of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Mary Purcell, on 19 October 1854.¹ She died on 12 June 1855, without issue.¹
     From 19 October 1854, her married name became Cotter.

     Dudley Laurence Cotter was born on 6 September 1922.¹ He was the son of James Laurence Cotter and Grace Herbert.² He died in 1942.¹

     Mary Blanche Monica Cotter was the daughter of Reverend James Laurence Cotter and Mary Beatrice Bromilow.² She married T. C. Mather in 1883.¹ She died on 10 March 1950.¹
     From 1883, her married name became Mather.
