Arthur Owen Crichton was born on 15 August 1876.2 He was the son of John Henry Crichton, 4th Earl Erne of Crom Castle and Lady Florence Mary Cole.2,3 He married Katherine Helen Elizabeth Trefusis, daughter of Colonel Hon. Walter Rodolph Trefusis and Lady Mary Charlotte Montagu Douglas Scott, on 13 June 1906.3 He died on 11 July 1970 at age 93.3
