     Hon. Lilian Theresa Clare Baring was born on 28 May 1874.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Hugh Baring, 4th Baron Ashburton and Hon. Leonora Caroline Digby.1 She married Lt.-Col. Frederick Loch Adam, son of Rt. Hon. William Patrick Adam and Emily Eliza Wylie, on 5 March 1906.1 She died on 15 November 1962 at age 88, without issue.1
     From 5 March 1906, her married name became Adam.1
