     Thomas Butler-Stoney was born on 22 March 1813.¹ He was the son of Richard Falkiner Stoney and Jane Butler.¹ He married Sarah Elizabeth Fannin, daughter of Robert Fannin and Mary Anne Fossitt, on 15 November 1837.¹ He died on 10 March 1893 at age 79.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the 19th Regiment.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tipperary in 1855.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Galway.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tipperary.¹ He lived at Portland Park, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹

     Sarah Elizabeth Fannin was born in 1817 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² She was the daughter of Robert Fannin and Mary Anne Fossitt.^1,2 She married Thomas Butler-Stoney, son of Richard Falkiner Stoney and Jane Butler, on 15 November 1837.¹ She died on 7 March 1897 at Portland Park, Roscrea, County Tipperary, Ireland.^1,2
     From 15 November 1837, her married name became Butler-Stoney.¹

     Martha Fannin was born circa 1821 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² She was the daughter of Robert Fannin and Mary Anne Fossitt.² She died on 13 October 1893 at Bournemouth, Hampshire, England.²

     Captain Robert Fannin Butler-Stoney was born on 30 August 1838.¹ He was the son of Thomas Butler-Stoney and Sarah Elizabeth Fannin.¹ He died in 1862, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 53rd Regiment.¹
