     Lieutenant Michael Blood was born on 27 January 1795.1 He was the son of Richard Blood and Jane Maria Shaw.1 He died on 4 June 1831 at age 36, unmarried.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 17th Bengal Native Infantry1 and between 1813 and 1816 he was in the service of the 82nd Foot.1
