     James Norcott Crone was born in 1788.¹ He was the son of Robert Fennell Crone and Martha Norcott.¹ He died on 9 November 1853.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Jean Charteris was baptised on 30 August 1694.¹ She was the daughter of William Charteris of Brigmuir.¹ She married Sir John Jardine of Applegirth, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth, 1st Bt. and Lady Margaret Douglas, in 1721.¹ She died on 7 February 1762 at age 67.¹
     From 1721, her married name became Jardine.¹

     Robert Fennell Crone was born in 1758.¹ He was the son of John Crone and Frances Fennell.¹ He married Martha Norcott, daughter of James Norcott and Jane Roberts, in 1785.¹ He died on 10 August 1869.¹

     Martha Norcott is the daughter of James Norcott and Jane Roberts.¹ She married Robert Fennell Crone, son of John Crone and Frances Fennell, in 1785.¹
     From 1785, her married name became Crone.¹

     Sir William Jardine of Applegirth, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir John Jardine of Applegirth, 3rd Bt. and Jean Charteris.² He married Barbara de la Motte.¹ He died on 17 March 1807.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Jardine, of Applegirth [N.S., 1672] in December 1790.¹

     Barbara de la Motte married Sir William Jardine of Applegirth, 5th Bt., son of Sir John Jardine of Applegirth, 3rd Bt. and Jean Charteris.¹
     She lived at France^G.¹ Her married name became Jardine.¹

     Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth, 6th Bt. was the son of Sir William Jardine of Applegirth, 5th Bt. and Barbara de la Motte.² He married Janet Dorcas Maule, daughter of Thomas Maule, before 1799.¹ He died in 1821.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Jardine, of Applegirth [N.S., 1672] on 17 March 1807.¹

     Thomas Maule held the office of Bishop of Meath between 1744 and 1758.¹

     Janet Dorcas Maule was the daughter of Thomas Maule.² She married Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth, 6th Bt., son of Sir William Jardine of Applegirth, 5th Bt. and Barbara de la Motte, before 1799.¹ She died on 9 August 1825 at Madeira, Portugal^G.¹
     From before 1799, her married name became Jardine.¹

     Sir William Jardine of Applegirth, 7th Bt. was born on 13 February 1800.¹ He was the son of Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth, 6th Bt. and Janet Dorcas Maule.² He married, firstly, Jane Home Lizars, daughter of Daniel Lizars, on 28 June 1820.¹ He married, secondly, Hyacinthe Symonds, daughter of Reverend William Samuel Symonds, on 18 November 1871.¹ He died on 9 November 1874 at age 74.¹
     He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Jardine, of Applegirth [N.S., 1672] in 1821.¹ He was Commissioner of salmon industries in 1860.¹ He lived at Jardine Hall, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.¹
