Sir Richard Sutton, 4th Bt.1

     Sir Richard Sutton, 4th Bt. was born on 21 October 1821.2 He was the son of Sir Richard Sutton, 2nd Bt. and Mary Elizabeth Burton.2 He married, firstly, Anna Houson, daughter of Reverend H. Houson, on 18 May 1845.2 He married, secondly, Harriet Anne Burton, daughter of William Fitzwilliam Burton and Mary Power, on 29 July 1851.3 He died on 2 October 1878 at age 56.3
     He gained the rank of officer in the 1st Life Guards.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Nottinghamshire.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Sutton, of Norwood Park, co. Nottingham [G.B., 1772] on 5 June 1873.2

     Harriet Anne Burton was born on 19 August 1828.1 She was the daughter of William Fitzwilliam Burton and Mary Power.2,1,3 She married Sir Richard Sutton, 4th Bt., son of Sir Richard Sutton, 2nd Bt. and Mary Elizabeth Burton, on 29 July 1851.1 She died on 12 March 1901 at age 72.1
     From 29 July 1851, her married name became Sutton.

     Beatrix Persijn Vrouwe van Putten en Strijen was born in 1295.1 She was the daughter of Nicolaas III Persijn Heer van Putten and Aleida Vrouwe van Strijen.1 She married, firstly, Hugo d'Enghien, Heer van Sottegem Burggraf van Gent in 1310.1 She married, secondly, Guy de Dampierre, son of Guillaume de Dampierre, Heer van Dendermonde en Crèvecoeur and Alix de Beaumont-en-Beauvaisis, Comtesse de Châteaudun, in October 1321.1 She died in 1355.1

     Colonel Bryan Henry Chetwynd-Stapylton was born on 10 June 1873.2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Granville George Chetwynd-Stapylton and Lady Barbara Emily Maria Leeson.2 He married Dorothy Constance Ponsonby, daughter of Chambré Brabazon Ponsonby and Hon. Mary Eliza Sophia Plunkett, on 5 December 1905.1 He died on 29 May 1958 at age 84.2
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was Staff Captain and DAAG, War Office between 1910 and 1914.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was Colonel of the 1st Battalion, Cheshire Regiment between 1919 and 1923.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1922.2 He retired from the military in 1930.2

Granville George Chetwynd-Stapylton was born on 22 March 1823.1 He was the son of Major Henry Richard Chetwynd-Stapylton and Margaret Hammond.2 He married Lady Barbara Emily Maria Leeson, daughter of Joseph Leeson, 4th Earl of Milltown and Barbara Meredyth, on 8 December 1864.1 He died on 27 April 1915 at age 92.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.1
