     Robert FitzPayn, 1st Lord FitzPayn was the son of Robert FitzPain.2 He married Isabel de Clifford, daughter of Sir Richard de Clifford and unknown daughter de Clifford.3 He died on 22 August 1315.3,4
     He fought in the Battle of Lewes.3 He was created 1st Lord FitzPayn [England by writ] on 6 February 1299.2 He fought in the Scottish wars between 1303 and 1306.3 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1306.3 He held the office of Governor of Winchester Castle in 1308.3

     Sir John de Grey was the son of Sir Richard de Grey and Joan FitzPayn.2 He married, firstly, Eleanor (?) before 4 September 1325.1 He married, secondly, Alice de Lisle, daughter of Sir Warin de Lisle, before 20 October 1330.2 He died on 14 December 1392.1
     He campaigned in Scotland, Flanders and France.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.)1 Between 1 April 1335 and 23 November 1392 he was summoned to Parliament, but with no proof of his sitting.1 He fought in the Siege of Calais from 1346 to 1347.2 He fought in the Battle of Crécy on 26 August 1346.2 He held the office of Keeper of Rochester Castle in 1359.1

     Robert FitzPayn was born circa 1321.1 He was the son of Sir Richard de Grey and Joan FitzPayn.2 He married Elizabeth de Briene, daughter of Sir Guy de Briene, between 16 August 1351 and 16 October 1354.1 He died on 21 May 1393, an only daughter and heiress: without male issue.1
     He was given the name of Robert de Grey at birth.2 In 1354 he inherited his manors in Somerset and Dorset from his uncle, Sir Robert FitzPayn.1 In 1359 he accompanied King Edward III on the campaign in France.1 He lived at Wraxall, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He lived at Charlton Mackrell, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He lived at Cary Fitzpaine, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He lived at Staple Fitzpaine, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He lived at Cheddon Fitzpaine, Somerset, EnglandG.1
