Henry Austin Bruce, 1st Baron Aberdare of Duffryn was born on 16 April 1815 at Duffryn, St. Melons, Glamorgan, WalesG.1 He was the son of John Bruce Bruce-Pryce and Sarah Austin. He married, firstly, Annabella Beadon, daughter of Richard Beadon and Annabella à Court, on 6 January 1846.1 He married, secondly, Norah Creina Blanche Napier, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir William Francis Patrick Napier and Caroline Amelia Fox, on 17 August 1854.1 He died on 25 February 1895 at age 79, from influenza.1 He was buried at Mountain Ash, Glamorgan, WalesG.1
