Lt.-Col. Louis Peile Carden was born on 10 September 1860.1 He was the son of Andrew Carden and Ann Berkeley.2,1 He married Mary Elizabeth MacCarthy-Morrogh, daughter of James MacCarthy-Morrogh, in 1891.1 He died on 19 December 1942 at age 82.1
He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 He lived at Cedar Grange, Caterham, Surrey, EnglandG.1
