     William Robert Steward was born in 1854.1 He was the son of Charles Henry Steward and Sarah Jones.1 He married Beatrice Rose Maud Peel, daughter of Major Robert Peel and Alexandrina Idonia Charlotte Susan Douglas-Hamilton, in 1885.1 He died on 14 December 1901 at Thames, New ZealandG.2 He was also reported to have died on 16 December 1912 at Auckland, New ZealandG.1 He was buried on 16 December 1901 at Shortland Cemetery, Thames, New ZealandG.2

     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1913 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Minor Canon and Vicar Choral of Limerick Cathedral between 1918 and 1921.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1919 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Curate between 1921 and 1926 at Bridport, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He was the Curate between 1926 and 1929 at Paddington, London, EnglandG.1 He was the Vicar in 1929 at Minster-in-Sheppey, Kent, EnglandG.1
