     Mary Dorothea Colahan was born on 27 October 1853 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G.2 She was the daughter of Captain John Barron Colahan and Mary Dorothea Zell.1 She married Louis Estell Fagan, son of John Francis Fagan and Emily Rogers Estell, on 10 April 1872.1 She died on 5 September 1913 at age 59 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G.2
     From 10 April 1872, her married name became Fagan.1

     Louis Estell Fagan was born on 17 February 1842 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G.1,2 He was the son of John Francis Fagan and Emily Rogers Estell.3 He married Mary Dorothea Colahan, daughter of Captain John Barron Colahan and Mary Dorothea Zell, on 10 April 1872.1 He died on 4 January 1894 at age 51 at Washington, D.C., U.S.A.G.1,2
     He was educated at U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland, U.S.A.G.1 He was commissioned, in the service of the Marine Corps (twice brevetted for gallantry.)1 He gained the rank of Trooper in 1860 in the Pennsylvania Cavalry.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps.1 He lost his sight as a result of injuries sustained at Fort Fisher, North Carolina.1 He fought in the American Civil War.1 He retired from the military in 1892.1
