Howard John Elphinstone was born on 30 May 1862.1 He was the son of Sir Howard Warburton Elphinstone, 3rd Bt. and Constance Mary Alexander Hankey.2 He married Katherine Curteis, daughter of Herbert Mascall Curteis, on 22 October 1889.1 He died on 2 February 1895 at age 32.1

Katherine Elizabeth Elphinstone was born on 24 June 1892.1 She was the daughter of Howard John Elphinstone and Katherine Curteis.2 She married Sir William Wigham Richardson, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Philip Wigham Richardson, 1st Bt. and Ross America Colorado, on 20 April 1921.1 She died on 10 July 1945 at age 53, without issue.1

Sir William Wigham Richardson, 2nd Bt. was born on 12 June 1893.2 He was the son of Sir Philip Wigham Richardson, 1st Bt. and Ross America Colorado.2 He married Katherine Elizabeth Elphinstone, daughter of Howard John Elphinstone and Katherine Curteis, on 20 April 1921.1 He died on 15 November 1973 at age 80.1
He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Queen's Royal West Surrey Regiment.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Barbados between 1918 and 1920.2 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1919.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent in 1940.2 He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Richardson, of Weybridge, co. Surrey [U.K., 1929] on 23 November 1953.1

W. E. Middleton, on 3 July 1909.1 She and George Middleton were divorced.1 She died on 1 October 1962.

Sir Howard Graham Elphinstone, 4th Bt. was born on 28 December 1898.1 He was the son of Graham Warburton Elphinstone and Susan Sophy Harley.2 He married Alice Mary Emerton Brown, daughter of Philip John Emerton Brown, on 14 July 1924.1 He died on 18 May 1975 at age 76.1
He was educated at Sedbergh School, Sedbergh, Cumbria, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War in 1917.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Elphinstone, of Sowerby, Cumberland [U.K., 1816] on 3 January 1917.1 He was with the Kenya Civil Service in 1921.1
