     Johanna Agnes Forbes was baptised on 10 December 1819 at St. George the Martyr, Queen Square. She was the daughter of John Hopton Forbes and Johanna Catherine Heath.2,3 She married George Forbes, son of Sir Charles Forbes of Newe, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Cotgrave, on 16 March 1843.1

     From 21 August 1830, her married name became Forbes.

     Sir Charles Stewart Forbes of Newe, 5th Bt. was born on 19 January 1867.1 He was the son of Sir Charles John Forbes of Newe, 4th Bt. and Helen Moncreiffe.2 He married Emma Theodora Maxwell, daughter of Robert Maxwell, on 2 July 1888.1 He died on 12 December 1927 at age 60.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Forbes, of Newe [U.K., 1823] on 24 July 1884.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Volunteer Battalion, Gordon Highlanders.1

     Sir John Stewart Forbes of Newe, 6th Bt. was born on 8 January 1901.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Stewart Forbes of Newe, 5th Bt. and Emma Theodora Maxwell.2 He married Agnes Jessie Wilson-Farquharson, daughter of Lt.-Col. David Lorraine Wilson-Farquharson, on 10 October 1933.1 He died on 23 July 1984 at age 83.1,3
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Forbes, of Newe [U.K., 1823] on 12 December 1927.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1940.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire in 1953.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Aberdeenshire in 1954.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1 He was Honorary Colonel of the 51st (H) Division between 1960 and 1967.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire between 1973 and 1984.1
