     Patricia Merriel d'Ambrumenil was born circa 1924.² She was the daughter of Sir Philip d'Ambrumenil and Gertrude Merriel Bailey.^3,2 She married Sir William Francis Cuthbert Garthwaite, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Garthwaite, 1st Bt. and Francesca Margharita Parfett, on 4 April 1957.¹ She died on 9 April 2012.²
     From 4 April 1957, her married name became Garthwaite.

     John William Philip Garthwaite was born on 9 January 1958.¹ He is the son of Sir William Francis Cuthbert Garthwaite, 2nd Bt. and Patricia Merriel d'Ambrumenil.² He married Sarah Elizabeth March, daughter of Reverend Charles Anthony Maclea March, on 7 May 1983.¹
