     Richard Denis Wyer McGillycuddy, The McGillycuddy of the Reeks was born on 4 October 1948.2 He was the son of John Patrick McGillycuddy, The McGillycuddy of the Reeks and Elizabeth Margaret Otto.3 He married Virginia Lucy Astor, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Hugh Waldorf Astor and Emily Lucy Kinloch, in 1984.1 He died on 30 December 2004 at age 56.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.4 He was educated at Aix-en-Provence Unversity, Aix-en-Provence, Provence, France.4
