     Edward Henry Cradock Monckton was born on 12 September 1812.1 He was the son of Philip Monckton and Henrietta Carter.2 He married, firstly, Caroline Rosa Woodcock, daughter of Charles Woodcock, in 1835.1 He married, secondly, Maria Catherine Tydd, daughter of H. W. Tydd, on 7 October 1839.1 He died on 14 July 1878 at age 65.1
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service, Bengal.1 He lived at Fineshade Abbey, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.2
