Reverend John Hill was born on 11 March 1802.1 He was the son of Colonel John Hill and Elizabeth Rhodes Cornish.2 He married Charlotte Kenyon, daughter of Hon. Thomas Kenyon and Louisa Charlotte Lloyd, on 17 December 1833.1 He died on 15 June 1891 at age 89.1
