     John Knill was born on 19 January 1782.¹ He was the son of Thomas Knill.² He married, firstly, Anne Gain on 10 November 1803.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Cox Stuart, daughter of Gabriel Stuart, on 12 July 1819.¹ He died on 8 January 1854 at age 71.¹

     Anne Gain married John Knill, son of Thomas Knill, on 10 November 1803.¹ She died on 23 December 1815.¹
     From 10 November 1803, her married name became Knill.

     Thomas Gain Knill was born on 5 May 1807.¹ He was the son of John Knill and Anne Gain.² He died circa 10 December 1827, unmarried.¹ He was buried on 13 December 1827.²

     Joseph Knill was born on 18 October 1814.¹ He was the son of John Knill and Anne Gain.² He died on 2 May 1817 at age 2.¹

     Sarah Knill was born on 25 May 1812.¹ She was the daughter of John Knill and Anne Gain.² She married James Lane Wight in 1839.¹ She died on 21 November 1854 at age 42.¹
     From 1839, her married name became Wight.

     James Lane Wight married Sarah Knill, daughter of John Knill and Anne Gain, in 1839.¹ He died on 28 September 1885.¹
     He lived at Tedstone Court, Delamere, Herefordshire, England.¹

     Gabriel Stuart lived at Thames Street, London, England.¹

     Elizabeth Cox Stuart was the daughter of Gabriel Stuart.² She married John Knill, son of Thomas Knill, on 12 July 1819.¹ She died on 8 January 1862.¹
     From 12 July 1819, her married name became Knill.

     Sir Stuart Knill, 1st Bt. was born on 11 April 1824.¹ He was the son of John Knill and Elizabeth Cox Stuart.² He married Mary Anne Rose Parker, daughter of Charles Rowland Parker, on 23 January 1850.¹ He died on 19 November 1898 at age 74.¹
     He was Commissioner for executing Lieutenantcy of the City of London in 1885.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for City of London.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of London in 1889.¹ He held the office of Lord Mayor of London in 1893.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Knill, of The Grove, Blackheath and Fresh Wharf, London [U.K.] on 11 August 1893.¹
