Joseph Cripps1

     Joseph Cripps was born on 10 March 1765.1 He was the son of Joseph Cripps and Hester Hall.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Harrison, daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Elizabeth Pelly, on 17 April 1786.1 He married, secondly, Dorothea Harrison, daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Elizabeth Pelly, in 1801.1 He died on 8 January 1847 at age 81.1
     He also had other issue.1 He was a practising chairman of Quarter Sessions.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cirencester between 1806 and 1812.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cirencester between 1818 and 1841.1 He lived at Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.1
