     He was with the Bengal Civil Service.1

     Lilias Caroline Drummond was born on 9 March 1868.1 She was the daughter of Edward Drummond and Lucy Marion Barnard.1 She married, firstly, John Cuthbert Eyre Leslie, son of Charles Stephen Leslie of Balquhain, on 3 August 1897.1 She married, secondly, Captain William Edward Murray, son of Lt.-Col. John Murray, on 31 July 1906.1 She died on 5 April 1959 at age 91.1
     From 3 August 1897, her married name became Leslie. Her marriage to John Cuthbert Eyre Leslie was annulled in 1905.1 From 31 July 1906, her married name became Murray. On 11 January 1919 her name was legally changed to Lilias Caroline Drummond-Murray by Deed Poll.1
