     Rev. Hon. Alan Brodrick was born on 1 January 1840.1 He was the son of Reverend William John Brodrick, 7th Viscount Midleton of Midleton and Hon. Harriet Brodrick.2 He married Emily Hester Melvill, daughter of Philip Melvill, on 18 June 1867.1 He and Emily Hester Melvill were divorced in 1901.1 He died on 6 May 1909 at age 69.1
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Rector at Alverstoke, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Hon. Canon of Winchester.1

     James William Herschell Gully, 2nd Viscount Selby was born on 4 October 1867.1 He was the son of William Court Gully, 1st Viscount Selby and Elizabeth Anne Walford Selby.2 He married, firstly, Ada Isabel Pirie, daughter of Alexander George Pirie, on 9 June 1893.1 He and Ada Isabel Pirie were divorced on 31 July 1909.3 He married, secondly, Dorothy Evelyn Grey, daughter of Sir William Grey and Georgina Chichele-Plowden, on 5 August 1909.2 He died on 2 February 1923 at age 55.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1892 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Selby, of the City of Carlisle [U.K., 1905] on 6 November 1909.1

     Elizabeth Adair was the daughter of Sir Robert Adair and Angélique Gabrielle d'Hazincourt.2,3 She married Rt. Rev. Hon. Edward Grey, son of General Charles Grey, 1st Earl Grey and Elizabeth Grey, on 9 September 1824.3 She died on 28 September 1829.1
