     Reverend George Thomas Payne was born in 1819 at Kilkenny, County Kilkenny, Ireland.¹ He married Emily Barton Adamson, daughter of Reverend Arthur Smyth Adamson and Emily Jane Barry, on 10 June 1844 at Clifden Church, Galway, County Galway, Ireland.¹ He died on 12 August 1888 at Holywood, County Down, Ireland.¹
