     William Fraser was born circa 1782 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.1 He was the son of Alexander Fraser.1 He married Elizabeth Wilkins.1 He died in 1861 at Canada.1
     He gained the rank of Drummer Boy in the British Army.1 He fought in the Capture of the Cape of Good Hope in 1796.1 He was instructor at Addiscombe Military Academy, Addiscombe, Surrey, England.1

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1759 in the Fraser Regiment.1 He fought in the Capture of Quebec in 1759.1 He fought in the American War of Independence, and was taken prisoner in Oct 1781 at York Town.1 He gained the rank of officer in the British Army in Grenada and Jersey.1
