     Amy Hext was born on 18 September 1890 at Old Cleeve, Somerset, England.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Arthur Staniforth Hext and Anne Hyde Parker. She married Cresswell Shearer, son of James Traill Shearer and Eliza Graham, in July 1917.²
     Her married name became Shearer.

     Cresswell Shearer was born in 1874.¹ He was the son of James Traill Shearer and Eliza Graham.¹ He married Amy Hext, daughter of Colonel Arthur Staniforth Hext and Anne Hyde Parker, in July 1917.¹ He died in 1941, without issue.¹
     He was a lecturer in experimental embryology at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He was a zoologist.¹ He wrote the book The Renaissance of Architecture in Southern Italy.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹

     Colonel John Home Purves was the son of John Home Purves and Ellen Power.¹ He married Caroline Maria Parker, daughter of Vice-Admiral Hyde Parker and Caroline Eden, on 12 April 1849.² He died on 2 July 1867.²
     He was Equerry to HRH The Duchess of Cambridge.²

     Anne Boteler is the daughter of John Palmer Boteler. She married Admiral Sir Hyde Parker, son of Vice-Admiral Sir Hyde Parker, 5th Bt. and Sarah Smithson.¹
     Her married name became Parker.¹

     Frances Onslow was the daughter of Admiral Sir Richard Onslow, 1st Bt. and Anne Mitchel.¹ She married Admiral Sir Hyde Parker, son of Vice-Admiral Sir Hyde Parker, 5th Bt. and Sarah Smithson, on 23 December 1800.² She died in March 1844.²
     From 23 December 1800, her married name became Parker.

     Admiral Sir Richard Onslow, 1st Bt. was born on 23 June 1741.² He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Richard Onslow and Pooley Walton.³ He married Anne Mitchel, daughter of Admiral Matthew Mitchel, on 2 June 1773.² He died on 27 December 1817 at age 76.²
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.)² He fought in the Battle of Camperdown, as second in command.² He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral.² He was created 1st Baronet Onslow, of Althain, Lancashire [Great Britain] on 30 October 1797.²

     Anne Mitchel was the daughter of Admiral Matthew Mitchel. She married Admiral Sir Richard Onslow, 1st Bt., son of Lt.-Gen. Richard Onslow and Pooley Walton, on 2 June 1773.¹ She died on 31 January 1837.¹
     Her married name became Onslow.
