Charles Anderson-Pelham, 1st Baron Yarborough was born on 3 February 1748/49.1 He was the son of Francis Anderson and Eleanor Carter.2 He married Sophia Aufrère, daughter of George Aufrère and Arabella Bate, on 21 July 1770.1 He died on 22 September 1823 at age 74.1
He was given the name of Charles Anderson at birth.3 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 In 1763 his name was legally changed to Charles Anderson-Pelham.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Beverley between 1768 and 1774.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1771.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lincolnshire between 1774 and 1794.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1777.1 He held the office of Recorder of Grimsby in 1786.1 He was created 1st Baron Yarborough, of Yarborough, Lincolnshire [Great Britain] on 13 August 1794.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) in 1796.1

Sophia Aufrère was born circa 1752.1 She was the daughter of George Aufrère and Arabella Bate.2,3 She married Charles Anderson-Pelham, 1st Baron Yarborough, son of Francis Anderson and Eleanor Carter, on 21 July 1770.2 She died on 25 January 1786.2

George Aufrère was born on 7 November 1715 at Westminster, London, England.1 He was the son of Reverend Israel Antoine Aufrère.2 He married Arabella Bate, daughter of William Bate, on 5 November 1747 at Burghley, Lincolnshire, England.1 He died on 7 January 1801 at age 85 at Chelsea, London, England.1
