Some great animation, but the fights themselves aren't portrayed well and thus not all that hype.
Webtoon readers have mentioned how the pacing is extremely rushed. Personally, the story felt fine in that regard, but the fights themselves didn't really provide any storytelling, which is sad for a show literally about fighting and ultimately what makes the show forgettable in my opinion.
Solid visuals but thin plot, one-dimensional cast, disappointing combat, mediocre overall. Only for fans.

Super weird premise, with a disjointed end would have been more interesting if the two haves of the show were more related, but it is totally fast paced treating the audience like adults, so the ending was pretty epic. I consider the beginning uninteresting filler.

Going into this blind, I was expecting an anime about Gods/Demons/Demi-Gods going to school with a goofy/fun tone; however, this focuses on a martial art tournament called "God of High School", which I was like, "umm... sure". The animation is superb, but there are so many plot points thrown at the viewer that its difficult to care about anything. In the end, the show constantly tries to one up itself that it hurts the enjoyment of the watch.

Wasted opportunity the anime. This anime has great animations, good fight sequences but it feels like there story material for 3 seasons stuffed into 13 episodes. Things keep happening you dont have any time to start caring or even learning why.
I would still recommend it for fans of animation and fast action. If you want a coherent story to go along you will be disappointment.

First off, don’t let the mediocre rating deter you. Many low scores are likely fans of the original work malding about its speedrun pacing or overlooked details. It’s noticeable, but still does not warrant the bombing.
The "camera" movement and animation alone is enough to carry this anime. Speed, strength, agility and technique are all portrayed nicely. The fights are fun to watch with plenty of variation and styles.
There are parts where information comes out of nowhere, but overall it’s easy to follow, like a mindless action movie. That’s essentially why this is recommended--they kind of skip the buildup and dive right into “high stakes” fighting. It’s still a beautiful action show, just nothing too deep behind the characters or scenes.
