Reviews for Akuma no Riddle (7.5)

This is a relatively interesting anime, not so much in the social interactions or through the use of a never before seen formula but instead because of the way the fighting and relationships are depicted. Each character gets just barely enough back story to give them a believable motivation but sometimes the snap-shots in to peoples past doesn't really add much to the story. Also, the idea behind the entire school is a bit absurd but the execution of the story line makes up for it. It doesn't really seem to live for the surroundings but instead it is just there for the artwork. I think it would have done better in a more remote setting and focused more on the current events than history. However it really does work well and is a fairly enjoyable anime. A definite anime worth watching if you want some action but aren't looking for anything special.
