Character: Rokon (Yuki)

Vulpix is a fox-like creature with six curled tails, based on the Japanese fox spirit kitsune. Most commonly female, Vulpix are especially known for being beautiful. As Vulpix undergo Pokemon evolution, their red fur turns pale yellow and they grow three extra tails. Vulpix usually have a friendly, if not spoiled, temperament. Because of the flame in their bodies, when the temperature outside increases, they let flames out of their mouths to prevent their body temperature from getting too hot. In the wild, Vulpix will feign injury to escape from more powerful predators.

During the first season of the Pokemon anime, Vulpix appears often as one of Brock's Pokemon. It was given to him by a girl named Susie who felt she could not take care of it well. Brock, who felt he was only "babysitting", gives it back to Susie in the season four episode called "Beauty and the Breeder".

Its Japanese name, Rokon is a portmanteau of six (六ろく, roku) and kon (from kon kon, an onomatopoeic word describing the bark of a fox), or an alternate reading of the Japanese word for kitsune (狐きつね, kitsune), meaning fox - in this case, the reading is ko (こ). Its English name may have been derived from the scientific name for a group of foxes, Vulpes.

As Emily was growing up both Ralph and herself managed to coincidently obtain a Vulpix at the same time. This irked Emily and intensified their rivalry.

Snowball was raised by Lilie after the egg was given to her to care for by Principle Samson Oak. The egg was brought to the school from where it was found on Mount Lanakila.

After the Pancake Race, everyone was at the Pokémon School to watch it hatch into Alola Form Vuplix. Lillie said she had already named it Snowball and that the name came from the fact that it is white as snow and often rolls around like a ball.

After capturing Brock's Vulpix, Mewtwo put it into his cloning machine and made his own Vulpix which he later commanded to fight its original counterpart.

Macey's Vulpix was captured by Team Rocket and Ash rescued it.

Samson Oak received a Vulpix egg from the Kanto region from his cousin, Professor Samuel Oak and he brought it into the Pokémon School classroom to show it off. He didn't analyze the eggs to see what they were as he thought it's much more fun to wait for it to hatch.

He had two eggs and he asked the class which one they wanted to raise and he would raise the other one. The class chose the egg discovered up on Mount Lanakila and he kept the Kanto egg to raise. In SM14, it hatched from an egg into a Vulpix.

As Ralph was growing up both Emily and himself managed to coincidently obtain a Vulpix at the same time. This irked Ralph and intensified their rivalry.

Cerah's Ninetales is the evolved form of Cerah's Vulpix. After Lillie crashed on her first jump, Cerah told her when she was younger, she also had a spectacular wipeout and got scared of jumping. Cerah explained that her mother wanted her to take piano lessons, but when a friend of hers entered a Pokémon Sled Jump competition, she half-heartedly started practicing for it. Her Vulpix helped her build the courage to try sledding again after the crash. Cerah never forgot the exhilaration she felt at that moment getting back on the sled after some coaxing from her Vulpix and by the middle of that jump, she got the sense that Vulpix was feeling the same way.
