Character: Golonya (Sakaki)

Golem is a megaton Pokémon made from living stone, and one of the heaviest of all Pokémon species. Golem inhabits rocky mountains and volcanoes, often disguising itself as an inanimate boulder. It will annually shed its skin like a reptile, with its new shell often being bigger than the one before. Its body is almost impenetrable, able to withstand dynamite blasts; it can even detonate its own body, launching itself great distances in order to travel from mountain to mountain. When earthquakes occur near where Golem live, they will tumble down mountains, rolling at an incredible speed.

In the video games, the only way to obtain Golem is to evolve a Graveler by trading it to another player.

Golem has made numerous appearances in the Pokémon anime. It first appeared in the episode "The Bridge Bike Gang," in which Chopper, the leader of a bicycle gang, uses one to battle Ash's Charmander.

Golem's name comes from the word "golem," which is a humanoid clay or stone statue associated with Jewish mysticism.

Goneff's Golem is very strong and powerful which makes it very helpful for Goneff to steal anything he wants without having to worry about being caught.

Bertha's Golem was sent out to attack Team Rocket once they put armor on Seviper and Carnivine which made them stronger than they normally would be. Golem was able to use its Rock Blast attack to take down Seviper and Carnivine.

Flint's Golem was sent out in a battle against his wife at the Pewter Gym. It was easily defeated by Lola's Marill who used a Surf attack against it. Lola had to send out her Blastoise to save Golem.

Gary's Golem battled against Ash during the Silver Conference.

Golem was used by Raymond alongside Venomth and Pinsir in an attempt to overwhelm Ash Ketchum. They were all defeated by a Thunderbolt by Ash's Pikachu.

This Golem is owned by the unnamed Bearded member of the Revengers.

This Golem is an Alolan Form and was used by the Ultra Rangers when fighting against Guzzlord. It's fate is unknown.

This Golem was the leader of the tribe of Geodude and Graveler at Wela Volcano. It uses electricity to launch rocks and stones and other Geodude and its eyebrows and mustache are gathered iron filings which are thick as a sign of strength to the Graveler and Geodude.

The Ultra Guardians visited Wela Volcano and concluded that the magnetic anomalies were caused by the Graveler and Geodude because they were chased out of their normal eating areas by rock hunters looking for Spark Stones.

Lusamine suggested that Wela Volcano needed more patrols but would be too much for Officer Jenny to handle by herself. The Golem appeared and overheard the conversation and wanted to be caught by the Hiker Trio's when they said they were the perfect people for the job as they knew the area like the back of their hands.

Kanto Pokémon League Tournament:
Round 4 - Grass Field - Vs Melissa.

It down to the last Pokémon of both Gary and Melissa to see whom would proceed to the final 16 of the Kanto Pokémon League.
Towards the end of the battle Gary's Nidoking faced off against Melissa's Golem and both Pokémon looked tired. Gary ordered his Nidoking to use a Horn Attack, but Golem anticipated the move and managed to grab onto the horn and maintained a firm grip on it. In the final move of the round Golem used Seismic Toss on Nidoking, smashing it into the rock arena. When the dust settled Golem was standing on Nidoking triumphantly as the referee eliminated Nidoking and Gary from the tournament. The result put Golem and Melissa into the final 16 of the tournament.

Rudy's Golem practices dancing techniques in the Trovita Island Gym and uses them during battle to improves its footwork and agility.
